August 25, 2020 by Hailey Harris Leave a Comment

If you love crafting, sewing, and home decor, chances are you shop at Hobby Lobby. And chances are, you already know they offer some good sales and coupons. But do you have a strategy? Here is everything you need to know to save BIG TIME at Hobby Lobby by shopping their sales cycles.

Learn the sales cycle at Hobby Lobby and save big! Don't worry, I've got all the details. #voilamoolablog #savemoney #hobbylobby

1. Every 4 Weeks

Hobby Lobby has a very regular sales cycle. Every 4 weeks, you’ll see certain categories at certain savings: home decor (frames, lanterns, memo boards, etc.) at 50% off, paper crafts (like scrapbook paper, punches, and tags) at 50% off, and fabric at 30% off (including batting, McCall’s patterns, and Sew-Ology). Buy when the sale is on, or mark you calendar for the next one!

2. Every 3 Weeks

Every 3 weeks, you’ll see 30% off yarn and needle art, including knitting and crochet tools and notions). You’ll also find crating supplies like clay, Crayola, spray paint, wooden letters and numbers, and candle wax at the same 30% savings. Art supplies like canvas, brushes, sketchbooks, and poster board will be 40-50% off, and jewelry making supplies will be 50% off.

3. Every 2 Weeks

Every two weeks, you’ll see fabric accessories (like ribbon and trims) at 30% off. Limited paper crafts (i.e. stickers) will be 50% off, and floral (arrangements, wreaths, garlands, etc.) will be half price, too. If you can stand to wait just a little while for that adorable new wreath, you can save big.

4. 2 of Every 3 Weeks

Two out of three weeks, you’ll see art supplies and jewelry on sale for half price. Grab your canvas, glass beads, and more on this sale. Good thing this one is pretty frequent.

5. 3 Out of 4 Weeks

Wait a week, and you’ll see that perfect home decor item for 50% off. These are different items than the ones that go on sale every 4 weeks. This sale includes clocks, knobs and handles, framed art, ceramic figures, candles, mirrors, and more).

6. Always Discounted

Things Hobby Lobby always tends to have on sale include furniture, potted trees and large floor plants, custom and photo frames, home decor fabric, and fleece.

7. Never On Sale

Don’t wait for a sale price on these items, because you aren’t likely to get it: gift wrap and cards, cake decorating, candy-making, Cricut machines, party supplies, licensed merchandise, and specialty papers.

8. Your 40% Off Coupon

As you certainly know, Hobby Lobby always has a 40% off coupon available. Find it on their website, app, or in the ad. It’s a single-use coupon per customer, per day, on a regular price. For anything that’s already 30% off, obviously you’re better off to use your coupon. How? Ask them to ring you up at regular price and then use your coupon instead. It works!
