4 Easy Ways To Save Double

1. Know Where It Goes

For anyone who wants to know the ways to save double what you save now, you have to understand where all your money goes in the first place. Why do you need to know this? Because once you know where your money goes {and you’re almost always wasting some}, you can decide how much you can redirect toward your savings.

2. Change Matters

You might think change is pretty inconsequential, but it all adds up. All you need to do to prove it to yourself is to start saving all your spare change in a piggy bank or jar. There are people who routinely rack up an extra $50-100 dollars a year just from saving small change.

3. Make Small Changes To Save Double

It’s easy to believe that the $3 latte you buy every morning before work doesn’t matter, but think of how much more you could save if you made your coffee at home instead? Cut out things like that, because small changes matter. That daily latte could equal an extra $720 in your savings per year!

4. Out Of Sight, Out Of Mind

Make your savings automatic, because it’s much easier to save the money that isn’t in your pocket {or your checking account}. There are several ways to do this. The easiest is to set up an automatic deposit from your paycheck straight to a savings account that is in a separate bank than your checking account. Another of the easy ways to save double is to use an app that makes savings automatic. For example, there are apps that round up all your purchases to the nearest dollar, and put the extra change in your savings every time you swipe your debit card. How easy is that?
